All the participants in the Wise Women: The 50 over 50 Project were photographed in a black turtleneck for one of their sets. It was not unusual for each woman to complete 6 to 8 wardrobe changes for her photoshoot and finish the day wearing her own, or one of the studio's black turtlenecks. The Portrait Gala will feature a unique and creative portrait of each woman but I wanted something classic that everyone could wear and either keep the styling simple or accessorize in her own way. The black turtleneck checked all the requirements. Some of the women were surprised to discover the black turtleneck was their absolute favorite portrait captured during the session. Hey, you can't go wrong with a classic.
