The goal of a stellar personal branding headshot is to have the image perfectly encapsulate who you are without using words. The old adage definitely applies to one's headshot, "A picture is worth a thousand words."
A great personal branding image is about creating and maintaining connection between the subject and the viewer. The personal connection always starts and ends with the eyes. A well crafted image captures the connection. Expressions can vary from congenial to serious but they eyes must always be lively to form engagement. A subject can be serious but still have a smile in the eyes.
That's what I love about this headshot of Jessica. When you look at this image, you feel as if you are about to fall into a spirited conversation with her, which is perfect. Because that is what will happen when you meet her. Jessica is lively, fun and engaging. And a great photographer, too.
